The images are inspired by wetlands and prairies throughout the Midwest and New England. Includes 326 individual prints hung with magnets. Prints are created with 14 different copper plate etchings layered together at different transparencies. When installed the prints are tiled together in the corner of a gallery from most most dense to least. Viewers are encouraged to stand within the installation and feel enveloped by the intensity of visual information surrounding them or step back and notice the fading away of the imagery at either end. This push and pull of appearing and disappearing marks is meant to visually represent how humans constantly erase and rebuild the environment around them and how nature responds to this push in pull with its own coping mechanisms and recovery methods from human intervention.
