Put Your Best Foot Forward and Take Two Steps Back is a large print installation that was started in Eastern Kansas after time spent researching remnants of original and re-created prairies and wetlands throughout the region. The work continued to evolve as a response to the landscapes and communities I currently live in, most recently, Western Massachusetts and Upstate New York. The work considers how humans influence and attempt to change, destroy and recreate the natural environments around them.
